Walking with Amelia
Sunday 26th AprOn December 8th, 2025, our lives changed when our daughter Amelia was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Since that day, everything has become a constant balancing act. Type 1 diabetes is a lifelong condition that requires careful, around-the-clock management. Amelia now has to check her blood sugar levels regularly, monitor everything she eats, and rely on insulin to stay healthy. It’s a lot for anyone to manage, especially for a child.
Despite everything, Amelia continues to show incredible strength and resilience every single day. We are so proud of her, and as a family, we are doing everything we can to support her and help her live as normal and happy a life as possible.
However, managing Type 1 diabetes comes with ongoing costs. From essential medical supplies like glucose monitors and sensors to insulin and other equipment, it all adds up quickly. We want to make sure Amelia has access to the best possible care, technology, and support to keep her safe and give her the freedom to enjoy her childhood.
That’s why we are raising money to help support Amelia on this journey.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards helping us provide the care and tools she needs every day. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story would mean just as much to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Amelia’s journey and for any support you can give. It truly means the world to our family.
