Hello! Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! 

We are Spagnoli Lab - a group of postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working in Professor Francesca Spagnoli's lab at King's College London. Our research focuses on understanding pancreatic development and Beta cells.  

Did you know 400,000 people are currently living with type 1 diabetes in the UK? That's the full capacity of London's O2 Arena multiplied by 20! 

JDRF UK (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation UK) funds world-class research, supports the type 1 community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with researchers around the world (including us!) have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.

On June 22nd we will emerge from the lab to enjoy a 10km walk around London raising money towards a cure for type 1 diabetes.
