We are taking part in One Walk London on June 20th for Breakthrough T1D! Please support us with our challenge and give whatever you can spare. Breakthrough T1D's research has led to amazing developments in technology and treatments for type 1 diabetes, so every £ really makes a huge difference.

Our story

Monday 1st Jun

In October, our world changed when both of our girls were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes just two weeks apart. Ari first then followed by Flo.

Adjusting to life with Type 1 diabetes has been challenging for all of us, with constant monitoring and learning a whole new way of life. While it's not a journey we ever expected, it has become our new normal.

Through it all, one thing brings us comfort and that is that they don't have to face it alone. As sisters, they understand each other’s struggles, are there for each other on hard days, and celebrate every victory side by side. Their courage, resilience, and determination continue to inspire us every day and we are so proud of them.

We are so thankful for the work of Breakthrough T1D and the ongoing research that brings hope to families like ours. Thanks to advances in diabetes technology, including things like continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps, our girls can manage their condition more safely and confidently than ever before. Every breakthrough brings us one step closer to a future with better treatments and hopefully one day a cure!
