We're stronger together

I’m taking part in One Walk Manchester because I have Type 1 diabetes and I hope one day there is a breakthrough to find a cure. 

Sometimes it is really hard and I want things to be better for me and others like me.  My fundraising will help raise money that will help people with type 1. They are a great charity and have been there since my first day in hospital nearly 4 years ago. They gave me a teddy called Rufus that I still have.

I am walking with my mum and 2 of my sisters (Lucy and Laura) and one of my brothers (Thomas). 

This is my 4th "One Walk". In my every day life at school or home I am not with people who have diabetes. It is nice to walk with others who know exactly what it is like and we all walk for the same thing. It makes me feel less different and like we can make a difference together.
