We're stronger together

We’re taking part in One Walk London to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by type 1!

Our daughter, Emily, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in January 2021. She's faced the challenges this has brought with grace, bravery and resilience. Her sister, Chloe, has been patient and kind, and supported her every step.  We are enormously proud of both girls. 

As a family, we're taking part in the One Walk for JDRF, the charity that funds research to treat, prevent and cure type 1 diabetes.

We first walked this walk in 2022, but we’re doing it again to celebrate how much Emily has gained in independence and thrived despite diabetes in the past 2 years.  We’re fortunate that she has the support of an amazing team of teachers at school and local hospital paediatric diabetes team advocating for her BUT we know that this experience is not the case for every child with diabetes and so there is more that needs to be done.
