Jacks Journey

Thursday 21st May

Jack became poorly in October, at first we thought it was a virus, we spoke with the doctor while we was on holiday who reassured us, his body was playing catch up; Jack also has an eating disorder called Arfid, so we found it strange that his appetite had increased but also amazing he was eating more, however once home and at the doctors Jack had lost even more weight his blood glucose was High had ketones of 5.5, we was send straight to hospital, where time was critical, we were told, how lucky we was that Jack was still awake due to his levels and given the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes... its been a journey but we are adapting and Jack has been a super star, I love this charity and we cant wait for the one walk and rasie money to help type 1 diabetes.
