We’re taking part in One Walk London to support Breakthrough T1D, a cause that means a huge amount to our family because of Leo.
Living with type 1 diabetes affects everyday life in ways most people never see — the constant monitoring, calculations, interrupted sleep, and the worry that comes with trying to keep a child safe and healthy. Like so many families, we hope for a future where managing T1D is easier, safer, and ultimately where a cure is found.
That’s why we’re raising money for Breakthrough T1D. They fund life-changing research, support families living with T1D, and campaign for better access to treatments and technology through the NHS.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring us closer to better treatments and breakthroughs that could change lives for children like Leo and families like ours.

My Type 1 Warrior
Tuesday 19th MayOn 18 December, just a couple of weeks after Leo turned 3 on 3rd December, we received his diagnosis, and it completely turned our world upside down. I’m so proud of him — even at just three years old, he’s taking everything in his stride and showing a level of resilience that honestly amazes me every single day. He just keeps going, smiling and coping in his own way, and it makes me want to do everything I can for him. We’re doing the One Walk in London for Leo, to raise awareness and support, and to show him how many people are behind him every step of the way.
