I want to smash Type 1 diabetes - let's find a cure!
I am a 9 year old boy with Type 1 diabetes (T1D). I was diagnosed when I was 3. I would love to raise money to fund research for a cure and better treatment as T1D is relentless.
I have registered for the Half Iron-man Challenge, which is a Virtual Triathlon. From 1 February to 29 March, I will be swimming 1.93km, cycling 90.1km and running 21.1km towards a cure for T1D to raise money for Breakthrough T1D (the type 1 diabetes charity).
Breakthrough T1D funds world-class research, supports the T1D community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.
