Our story

Wednesday 1st Apr
As many of you know, our daughter Kyla was diagnosed with T1D in February 2023. Our lives were flipped upside down when we had to learn how to manage this condition and keep our daughter alive! 
A relentless condition which everything factors into, from, carb counting, the weather, emotions to hormones! It’s not an easy condition and insulin doesn’t just fix it like people think! It’s a constant battle and juggling act and Kyla smashes it daily with us behind her every step of the way! 
She has now been on the Omnipod 5 closed loop insulin pump for a year and it’s been amazing, giving us full nights sleep again and automated delivery working with her Dexcom cgm. This tech has been amazing, however we will always continue to fight for the hope of one day being t1 free and finding that cure for her and so many others living this condition!
