Maeve was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which means our family now runs on insulin, alarms, and a surprising amount of snacks. It is a full time job with no days off, and while we have found our rhythm, it is not one we would have chosen. She handles it with more grit than most adults, which is both impressive and slightly humbling.
We are taking part in the BreakthroughT1D 5K Walk to support research that can make life easier and safer for her and for others living with Type 1. Better tech, fewer finger pricks, maybe one day no diabetes at all. That is the goal.
If you are able to donate, it would mean a lot. It helps fund real progress and brings us closer to a future where kids like Maeve can just be kids. And if nothing else, you will be sponsoring me to walk 5K, which is objectively a strong return on investment.
