We're stronger together
I’m taking part in One Walk London to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by type 1!
Breakthrough T1D funds world-class research, supports the T1D community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.
This is where you come in. With your support and your generous donations, we can fund Breakthrough T1D’s important work.
Just £20 could help towards the next big T1D breakthrough.

My story
Tuesday 9th Jun💙 On 20th June, I’ll be taking on a 10km walk to raise money for Type 1 diabetes research. 💙
In November 2024, my life changed completely.
I suddenly started losing a significant amount of weight and, despite multiple trips to the doctors, nobody could work out what was wrong. Thankfully, a family friend who is a midwife suggested checking my blood glucose levels. They were extremely high, and I was sent straight to A&E, where I spent almost a week in hospital.
That’s when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Since then, there hasn’t been a single day where I haven’t had to think about it. Every meal, every activity, every day involves monitoring blood sugars, taking insulin, counting carbohydrates, and making constant decisions to stay healthy. It’s a condition that never takes a break.
While I’m incredibly grateful for the treatments and technology available today, there is still no cure.
That’s why I’m supporting Breakthrough T1D and raising money for research that could improve the lives of millions of people living with Type 1 diabetes and, one day, help find a cure.
On 20th June, I’ll be walking 10km as part of One Walk London. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, I’d be incredibly grateful. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this post instead — it costs nothing, takes just a few seconds, and could help it reach someone who is able to support the cause.
Thank you to everyone who supports me and this amazing cause. ❤️
