The Phelps Fab Five!

We're stronger together - our first family fundraiser!

This year we’re taking part in One Walk London to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by Type 1 as a family!

The five of us have committed to walking 10k around London to raise money for Breakthrough T1D. 

As you all know, Elliot, the youngest of our family was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in October 2023 and the advances and research into T1 has already made such a huge impact on his life, allowing him more freedom to do what any ‘normal’ child would be able to do. 

Elliot is excited to see the crowds of people out supporting and raising money on this day, and his older brothers Ben and Sam (although a little resistant at first) can’t wait to help support him through it. 

Breakthrough T1D funds world-class research, supports the T1D community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.
