I’m taking part in One Walk Falkirk (10km) to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by type 1!
I have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year in July and been battling diabetes ever since. It has came as a massive shock to me and my family. We are still trying to accept it and live with the daily challenges that diabetes brings. It is relentless and our lives have changed massively.
The technology is nowadays amazing but people still have to wait long time to get access to it e.g insulin pumps - NHS simply doesn't have the funding for it.
