I’m taking part in One Walk Cymru to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by type 1!

Breakthrough T1D funds world-class research, supports the T1D community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.

Dear supporters,

It was a beautiful day today I completed the walk with a cute tiger superhero, his Rufus, new friends, friendly dogs and other participants.

It started with hypos and going around in a circle, yes we got lost as we went the wrong way, but then started again and had a lovely healthy walk in this fantastic location.

My son also had fun as there was free soft play before and after the walk and star wars characters.

Today is the big day for One Walk Cymru 2025 in a fantastic location! Fingers 🤞 for no rain and let's enjoy this wonderful day together! Walking has been part of my daily routine since the last challenge 400 000 steps for BTT1D but Ee and Rufus prefer the playground, mummy's flat or 'fun places'. Let's go! :)

Dear all,

As you know, my little boy has type 1 diabetes.

He was diagnosed at only 2 years old and it took me some time to recover from the shock.

Many families have to go through the same thing each year, and research still hasn't found a cure for type 1 diabetes. That's why they need more funding. To makes lives a bit more comfortable for type 1 diabetes patients. I am looking forward to receiving all your kind donations and taking part in the One Walk Cymru 2025 with my little boy, Rufus and friends.
