Watts Family

One Walk Leeds 2025

We're stronger together

As a family, we're taking part in One Walk Leeds to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by type 1!

Breakthrough T1D funds world-class research, supports the T1D community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.

This is where you come in. With your support and your generous donations, we can fund Breakthrough T1D’s important work.

Just £20 could help towards the next big T1D breakthrough.

Whatever you can donate, it is really appreciated - Thank you!

Your support to my challenge has helped me provide:

307

minutes of Breakthrough T1D research bringing us closer to a cure for T1D.

OR

153

printed copies of Breakthrough T1D's Straight to the Point guide. It covers vital information for anyone living with T1D to help manage the condition.

OR

12

children to have an initial screening test to help to detect T1D in its earliest stages to prevent un-diagnosed complications.

Why Breakthrough T1D?

Thursday 31st Jul
Thanks for visiting our page!

We're fundraising for Breakthrough T1D to raise funds to help cure, prevent and treat Type 1 Diabetes. Noah was diagnosed with Type 1 just over 7 years ago, aged 11 months. Diabetes is non-stop, 24/7, and as a family we are passionate about raising awareness of Type 1.

Noah's diagnosis was fairly traumatic and he ended up in diabetic ketoacidosis - we want to make sure other families are aware of the signs of Type 1, so people can be diagnosed sooner and less traumatically. The signs are - Thirsty, Toilet, Tired, Thinner (the 4 Ts).

A cure would be amazing for all those living with Type 1, which is why we support Breakthrough T1D as they are also passionate about researching diabetes to find a cure.

Noah is our superhero, so we'll all be walking together on 13th September.
