I’m taking part in One Walk London to help raise money to fund life-changing research and make a difference to the lives of people affected by type 1!

Breakthrough T1D funds world-class research, supports the T1D community and campaigns for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.

Clementine's Walk

Friday 13th Jun
Clementine, my daughter, is a lovely three year-old girl with type one diabetes. 

Fifteen years ago, diabetes was a condition which required constant finger-pricking and insulin injections. Today, monitoring her blood sugar level is done via a glucose monitor which feeds into an app. This means a three year-old can have as normal a life as possible. 

Any donation to T1D would be much appreciated. They are a large research group, and also advocate for type one diabetics in government. Whilst a British charity, they have a prominent role in the United States, where the cost of diabetes care is crippling to many families.
