Wednesday 13th Aug On 1st May 2024, our lives were turned upside down when our crazy, loveable Alfie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.However, our little superhero has not let it get in his way and he has faced it all with an unwavering courage and a smile that inspires us every day. He has shown us that superheroes don't always wear capes - sometimes they wear CGMs and Insulin Pumps!
As a family, we are taking part in the Breakthrough T1D One Walk in Belfast on 20th September to help raise funds for life-changing research and support for everyone living with Type 1 Diabetes. Any donation would be very much appreciated.
And the added bonus is that Alfie does get to wear a superhero cape on the day!
