Lydia and Type 1
Tuesday 17th Jun Lydia was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just before her seventh birthday. Her childhood and our experience of parenthood changed overnight. She will be insulin dependant for the rest of her life, unless a cure is found. Many of you reading this will know quite how much she has to deal with, and how well she manages to cope with the challenges - we don't need to list them here. We are focused on finding a brighter future for her, and other families dealing with Type 1. Please support her with this fundraiser for Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF, and the charity who gifted us Rufus, who as you will know, has been by her side since she was diagnosed. Lydia has recently become a Young Ambassador for Breakthrough Tye 1D, so as well as this being an opportunity to raise much needed funds for research into cure and better treatment, this is also about helping her find her tribe.
