Ralphie and Rufus take on One Walk Cardiff May 31st
As many of you know I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in February. When I was in hospital I was given my new little Diabesty Rufus, he is just like me- only hairy and stuffed!
My mummy and daddy have had lots of education and support along with the kitchen scales to get a kick start on their 'Carb Counting', so as a family we are going to take part in One Walk Cardiff on 31st May.
With your support and your generous donations, we can fund Breakthrough T1D's important work. Here are just a few examples of what your money can do...
£20 could enable 20 parents to return to work, safe in the knowledge that their child's type 1 diabetes will be carefully managed at school, thanks to Breakthrough T1D's e-learning modules.
£65 could help a vital research project progress by paying for one hour of research time.
£115 could pay for one person to be screened for type 1 diabetes. Which could help prevent life threating un-diagnosed type 1 diabetes complications.
